Glad t hear that the snow is melting.  Would appreciate hearing from someone just before Easter what the conditions are.  We'd like to make that our first trip up for 2010.  Thanks.

Was out this past weekend (Mar 19-21).  Surprised how much snow has melted since the last time we were out (2 weekends ago).  There is I would say about 1/2 the amt of snow left from the last time.  It is somewhat surprising how much has melted in the bush compared to some of the sunnay areas of our yard.

The main road is in good condition, I guess it is frozen  so not too much dust, not too "rutty".  The roads in the development are a little soggy here and there depending on how much sun exposure they get.

At Black's point beach there's alot of water in that "creeK" area.  The water is trying to get around that wooden walkway that crosses over where the creek flows into the lake.  You can hear the water running under the ice.

Will be posting some pictures in next few days.

Sounds beautiful out there, we're looking forward to Easter weekend.  I wonder if the snow will stick around till then.

Got our own answers this weekend when we went up.  Hadn't been up there since before Thanksgiving long weekend.  Not too many damaged trees in our yard, a few small ones snapped off, some small poplar and birch hanging over……..

Main road into the park is good – patches of compacted snow/ice here and there, but the more exposed sunny areas are drying up the road, but over all in prettygood shape.

Road in Black's Point subdivision ploughed, some high ridges of snow in front of some properties.  Again areas of the road that get more sun are drying up.

Snow in the yard (powedery)up to the knees !  Snow on the cottage roof and edges of the deck railings look like whip cream…

Nice and sunny on Sunday finally, got some great pictures of hoar frost on the trees along the lake shore which will try again later to post but was getting “valication” errors.

The city is starting to melt and but out there it is still winter and very beautiful, peacfull…. Birds are out (chikadees, red breasted nut hatches, and I head some blue jays……….) Some deers came through the yard as I was getting wood from the wood pile.

May be heading up to spend a few days in "winter wonderland" this weekend (Mar 6&7)

Would like to hear from someone who has been up recently – how is the main road, the roads in the developments, and how much snow in the driveways/yards…..(so we know how much to expect to shovel..)
