IT IS ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS!

When reading the following think of the logistics of getting Grindstone Days off the ground.  How much room do 575 hot dog buns take in a vehicle, never mind the wieners, scott towels, condiments etc.? 

Here are some ‘numbers’ related to Grindstone Days:

      7 Children’s Silent Auction Prizes

   13 Artists at the Art Show and Sale

   16 Volleyball teams 

   18 Adult Silent Auction Prizes

   75 Pounds of shredded cabbage

   80 Homecoming MTS 20 minute long distance credit cards handed out

 100 Golden Boy & other miscellaneous pins handed out

 110 pounds of coleslaw

 120 pounds of pancake mix

 132 pounds of breakfast sausages

 132 pounds of  wieners

 150 pounds of potato salad

 160 pounds of pickerel

 225 or so Ice cream Dixie Cups

 230 entries for the Poker Derby

 300 pieces of art on exhibit at the Art Show and Sale

 575 Hot Dogs on Sunday

 589 Pancake Breakfasts

Jason MacRae (Pancakes/Hotdogs co-ordinator) is looking for volunteers but only for 30 minute shifts.  If you and your family enjoyed the celebrations please consider one person from your cottage helping keep the tradition going.  See the gazette for more details on this years very successful Saturday pancake breakfast and Sunday’s Hot Dog lunch.

Fish Fry Tickets On Sale Now at the General Store!

Last year 350 tickets were sold and the event was sold out!  400 tickets will be available this year and are already going fast. 

The most anticipated event of the summer, Grindstone Days, is almost upon us.  Volunteers have been working hard to put together another fantastic weekend for all of us cottagers, friends and family.  Please see attached a poster of all the upcoming events!
